Ending Your Trial Early

Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Most people simply let it run — but if you'd like your subscription to begin now rather than at the end of the week, you can end the trial early and start immediately.

Why You Might Do This

The most common reason is exports. Journal backups, entry PDFs, and devotional books unlock once your trial converts to a paid plan, so if you want to download something today, ending the trial early is the way to get there.

Beyond that, some people just prefer their billing date to line up with when they decided, rather than a week later.

How to End Your Trial Early

Go to Profile → Export.
You'll see a note that exports unlock when your trial ends, with the option to End your trial early.
Choose it, then confirm with End trial & pay now.

Your card is charged right away at your regular plan rate, your subscription starts immediately, and exports unlock on the spot.

Not ready? Choose Wait until [your trial end date] instead. Nothing changes and your trial continues normally.

What Happens to Your Billing

You're charged your normal plan rate — monthly or annual, whichever you chose.
There's no partial-period or prorated charge for the trial days you used.
Your billing cycle starts from that moment, and renewals follow from there.
Your plan and features are unchanged — you keep everything the trial included.

Can I Undo It?

Ending a trial early is not reversible — the charge goes through immediately. You can still cancel your subscription at any time afterward through the billing portal, and you'll keep access through the end of the period you've paid for.

If you're unsure, waiting costs you nothing. Your trial converts on its own at the end of the 7 days.

If Your Card Is Declined

If the charge doesn't go through, you'll see a message asking you to update your payment method, along with a Fix payment method button that opens the secure billing portal.

Update your card there, then try ending the trial again. Your trial isn't cancelled by a failed attempt — it keeps running as normal until you either succeed or it converts on schedule.

Canceling Instead

If you've decided Psalmlog isn't the right fit, cancel rather than ending early. Go to Profile → Subscription → Manage Subscription and select Cancel plan before your trial ends, and you won't be charged at all.

Your journal entries are preserved either way — canceling reverts you to the Free plan, it doesn't delete anything.

Tips

Only end early if you need something now. There's no discount or benefit to converting sooner.
Trials are limited to one per 90 days. If you cancel and come back within that window, you'll subscribe without a trial period.
Check your plan first. Ending the trial locks in the tier you're on — if you meant to be on a different one, switch before you convert.
