Managing Notifications

Managing Notifications

Psalmlog uses push notifications to keep you informed about your journal entries. You can enable or disable notifications from your Profile page or your device's Settings app.

What Notifications You'll Receive

Psalmlog sends notifications for activity related to your account and journal entries:

  • Offline Journal Ready — When a journal entry you saved offline has been synced and processed.
  • Insights Available — When new guidance or insights are ready to view.
  • Account Updates — Confirmations for changes like updating your name, password, or subscription plan.

Enabling Notifications

The first time you open the app, you'll be asked to allow notifications. If you granted permission, notifications are already on.

If you skipped the prompt or want to check your status:

  1. Go to your Profile page (tap your avatar in the bottom navigation bar).
  2. Under Personal Information, find Notification Status.
  3. Toggle notifications on.

If the toggle doesn't respond, your device's system permissions may need to be updated — the app will prompt you to open your device's Settings.

Disabling Notifications

To turn off notifications:

  1. Go to your Profile page.
  2. Toggle Notification Status off.

You can also disable Psalmlog notifications from your device's Settings app:

  • iPhone/iPad: Settings > Notifications > Psalmlog > toggle off "Allow Notifications."
  • Android: Settings > Apps > Psalmlog > Notifications > toggle off.

Viewing Past Notifications

To see your notification history:

  1. Go to your Profile page.
  2. Tap Notification under the Other section.
  3. You'll see a list of all past notifications sorted by date.
