Sharing a Psalmstory Link

Every session generates a Psalmstory — a short, condensed version of your guidance, written to be read in a moment. You can share one with a private link, and you stay in control of it: anonymous by default, revocable at any time, and never carrying the words you actually wrote.

What Gets Shared — and What Never Does

A shared Psalmstory contains:

Five short snippets condensed from your guidance
The Scripture reference and passage text
The session's title and date
Your name and photo — only if you choose to include them

It never contains your original reflection, your mood data, or your emotional details. That's a hard boundary, the same one Psalmcast follows.

Creating a Share Link

Open the session you'd like to share from Sessions.
Choose Share Psalmstory.
Decide whether to share anonymously (see below).
Choose Create share link, then Copy.

That's your link. Paste it into a message, a text thread, or a social post — it previews with a designed cover image rather than a bare URL.

Anonymity

Sharing is anonymous by default. Your name won't appear on the story.

If you'd like your name and photo shown, uncheck Share anonymously in the share sheet. You can flip this at any time, on any link you've already shared, and it takes effect immediately.

Tip: Anonymous sharing is often the better choice for something vulnerable you still want to pass along — a friend gets the encouragement without the entry being traced back to a hard week of yours.

What Recipients See

Anyone with the link sees a public cover — the title and a preview — without signing in.

To read the full Psalmstory, they'll need to sign in or create a free Psalmlog account. This keeps a shared reflection from being fully open on the public internet, and it means the people reading yours are people who've stepped through a door to do it.

Links are unguessable, and there's no directory or index — one link reveals nothing about any other session you've shared.

Managing Your Shared Stories

To see everything you've shared, go to Sessions → Psalmstory Links. From there you can:

Copy a link again
Toggle anonymity on any active link
Revoke a link

Revoking a Link

Revoking stops the link working immediately, and it can't be undone. Anyone who opens it afterward sees a closed-story page rather than your content.

If you change your mind later, you can create a fresh link for that session — but it'll be a new address, so anywhere you posted the old one will stay closed.

One Link Per Session

Each session has one active share link at a time. Creating a new link for a session you've already shared replaces the old one.

Who Can Share

Everyone. Psalmstory sharing is available on every plan, including Free — if you have a session, you can share its story.

Tips

Share the encouragement, not the crisis. The Psalmstory format is already condensed toward what's carryable. Trust it.
Check the anonymity toggle before you paste. It's easy to change afterward, but easier to get right the first time.
Revoke without guilt. A link you shared in one season doesn't have to stay open in the next.
Sharing is also how people find Psalmlog. If someone asks what the link was, that's the whole story.
