Viewing Past Journal Entries

Viewing Past Journal Entries

Every journal entry you write is saved to your account. The Sessions page lets you browse, search, and revisit your full journal history.

The Sessions Page

Tap Sessions in the sidebar (desktop) or bottom navigation bar (mobile) to see all your past entries. Each entry in the list shows:

  • Title — The title generated from your reflection
  • Date — When you wrote the entry
  • Mood tag — The emotional tone detected in your entry
  • Category — The journaling category you selected

Tap any entry to open it and re-read your reflection and guidance.

Searching and Filtering

If you have many entries, use the search and filter options at the top of the Sessions page to find what you're looking for:

  • Search — Type keywords to search across your entry titles and content.
  • Filters — Narrow results by category, mood, or date range.

This is especially useful when you want to revisit an entry about a specific topic or look back at how you were feeling during a particular season.

Viewing an Entry

When you open a past entry, you'll see everything from the original session:

  • Your written reflection
  • All 5 guidance sections (Personal Summary, Key Takeaway, Scripture Connection, Next Step, Encouragement)
  • Mood tags and biblical theme chips
  • Scripture tags you added

You can also tap any scripture reference in the guidance to open it in the Bible reader.

Adding Personal Notes

Each saved entry has a notes section where you can add your own thoughts after the fact. This is a great way to:

  • Record prayers or commitments that came out of the entry
  • Note how a situation has changed since you wrote
  • Jot down additional verses or insights from your own study
  • Track answered prayers

Your personal notes are saved alongside the entry and visible whenever you revisit it.

Rating Your Guidance

Each entry includes a rating widget where you can give feedback on the guidance you received. Your ratings help improve the quality of future guidance.
